So here it is, my entry for the FEZ contest. I submitted this on the 18'th for the contest and forgot to post here... Ah well. Better late than never.

Fantasy Earth Zero Scout

So there's this contest going on at deviantART, to design a character based on the MMO "Fantasy Earth Zero." The game has three classes: Fighter, Mage, and Scout, and each class can be diversified to suit the player's fighting style. I went with a Scout for the contest:




Obviously, I used some Native American cultural references as inspiration. I like the way its turning out thus far... He'll have some cool armor peaking out of his clothing, and I have a nice beauty shot in the works to really show him off with his gorgeous black hair all swishing in the wind and whatnot. He uses a compound bow, because they're badass. I'll post some more progress shots as the image develops... The due date is June 18'th, so here's hoping I won't wuss out on this like I normally do for contests.

Random Ramblings are Random

So lately, my mother has decided to be adorable and take up gaming. She even has a little netbook now, and plays bejeweled and other various online puzzle games.

On my way out the door today, she asked me, "Hey Jen, out of 670 games of ____ [can't remember name], how many do you think I've won?"

I thought about it for a moment, and knowing her current record with most games isn't that great, I was a jerk and replied "Ten?"

"No, you jerk. I'm not quite that bad... 41. But I don't know why my percentage is so low. I don't lose that much."

"Are you quitting before finishing? Because that counts as a loss."

"But if I'm losing, what else can I do besides quit?"

I paused again, and showing complete tact and self restraint, I replied, "....... Win?"

I was promptly chased from the house. The End~

This place needs some style.

So I was thinking, its about time i dust off this journal and give it some sort of makeover. It really needs it... My site could really use some rearranging as well. I'm going to work on a few ideas for that tonight maybe. If i'm not too exhausted from head colds and fighting with annoying relatives.

Speaking of living with annoying relatives, I probably won't be staying where I am for much longer. I'm going to move up to Rhode Island sometime early in 2010 for school, which is only about an hour away from where my sister lives. I'd much rather have her for company than Mother's frustrating husband (the aforementioned annoying relative). My mom's a sweet woman, so she's not the problem. I just get sick of her psychotic, double talking "better half." It'll be nice to get away from that sort of living environment. Now if I could just get Mom to come with me, sans jerky husband.

I'll be posting a sketch dump later tonight. I was going to do that now, but I'm at a pretentious coffee shop with a super slow internet connection, so it'll have to wait...
